    El CIDCaM y el Conicet utilizaron fibra de cáñamo para el desarrollo de un biomaterial para la industria de la construcción

    Entre los materiales usados está la fibra de Cáñamo (Cannabis Sativa L), cáscara de maní y el hongo Pleurotus Ostreatus.

    El Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo de Cannabis Medicinal, Acuicultura y Agroecología (CIDCaM) de Santa Fe junto al  Instituto de Investigaciones en Catálisis y Petroquímica (INCAPE) del Conicet realizaron una investigación del GICIC que combina fibra de Cáñamo (Cannabis Sativa L) con cáscara de maní y el hongo Pleurotus Ostreatus para el desarrollo de un biomaterial que sirva como panel de aislación térmica y acústica para la industria de la construcción. 

    Los biomateriales a base de micelio de hongos son generados por la estructura miceliar de los hongos y los sustratos lignocelulósicos, como los residuos agrícolas del cannabis o el maní, son especialmente adecuados para el desarrollo de estos biomateriales. 

    Los primeros resultados, producto de las evaluaciones físico-mecánicas de las espumas de micelio, mostraron densidades adecuadas para productos de aislamiento térmico y packaging.

    Además, distintas pruebas revelaron que la combinación de cáñamo y cáscara de maní permite aumentar la resistencia del biomaterial y la presencia de cáñamo aumentó la resistencia térmica del biomaterial.

    “Desde el CIDCaM celebramos los trabajos colaborativos con la comunidad científica que promueven el cuidado y mantenimiento del medio ambiente”, expresaron desde el centro. “En esa línea, también fomentamos las propuestas de reutilización de residuos de cannabis como contribución a la economía circular en la región”, agregaron.

    Desde julio de 2022, el Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo de Cannabis Medicinal, Acuicultura y Agroecología (CIDCaM) trabaja en el desarrollo experimental del cultivo de Cáñamo (Cannabis Sativa L) para la obtención de aceites de calidad medicinal estandarizada en la provincia.

    Los objetivos del Centro son:

    • Producción: evaluación agronómica de germoplasmas, formas de cultivo, buenas prácticas agropecuarias, infraestructuras, entre otros.
    • Investigación: ensayos agronómicos, métodos de extracción y purificación de sustancias cannabinoides con calidad farmacéutica, caracterización de las sustancias, entre otros.
    • Extensión e inclusión: transferencia e intercambio de mecanismos y procesos de producción de Cannabis Sativa L.
