    El Programa de Investigación y Desarrollo en Cannabis otorgará más de 98 millones de pesos a 10 nuevos proyectos

    Se aprobó una nueva adjudicación a iniciativas de todo el país, con el propósito de fortalecer e impulsar la integración del conocimiento y el desarrollo tecnológico asociados al cannabis, el cáñamo, y sus derivados.

    El Programa de Investigación y Desarrollo en Cannabis anunció la aprobación de 10 nuevos proyectos de investigación científica. El Programa busca promover iniciativas de investigación, desarrollo e innovación tecnológica y social, destinadas a brindar mejores oportunidades para el desarrollo de esta temática. 

    Con este objetivo se otorga financiamiento a proyectos dentro de dos categorías: proyectos de investigación científica y proyectos asociativos entre el sistema científico-tecnológico y gobiernos nacionales, provinciales, municipales, organizaciones de la sociedad civil, ONGs y cooperativas.

    Desde la primera etapa, anunciada en diciembre del 2022, se aprobó el financiamiento de 23 proyectos del Programa. El monto total adjudicado en esta oportunidad totaliza los $98.328.379 y se distribuirá en las provincias de San Juan, Santa Fe, San Luis, Buenos Aires, y la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. 

    Las instituciones participantes son el Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET); la Universidad Nacional de San Juan; la Universidad Nacional de San Luis; la Universidad Nacional del Litoral; la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata; la Universidad Metropolitana para la Educación y el Trabajo; la Universidad de Buenos Aires; y el Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial (INTA).

    Proyectos aprobados

    • “Desarrollo de bioinsumos para la mejora de cultivos de cannabis” (Universidad de Buenos Aires).
    • “Aplicación del concepto economía circular a los bio-residuos provenientes de la producción de aceite de cannabis: obtención de harinas alternativas y vectores energéticos (biochar, biogas y bio-oil)” (Universidad Nacional de San Juan).
    • “Generación de material genético y de criterios agronómicos para la producción de cannabis medicinal en la Argentina” (Universidad de Buenos Aires).
    • “Cannabis medicinal y cáncer: estudios pre-clínicos para la determinación de propiedades anti-tumorales utilizando modelos experimentales alternativos” (Universidad Nacional del Litoral).
    • “Generación de insumos para materiales de referencia y formulaciones comestibles con potencialidad terapéutica en base a CBD” (Universidad Nacional de San Luis).
    • “Rol del sistema endocannabinoide y efectos de extractos de cannabis medicinal sobre dolor neuropático inducido por antineoplásicos” (CONICET).
    • “Desarrollo del cultivo de Cannabis sp. con fines de investigación científica y de producción” (INTA).
    • “Determinación de los requerimientos bioclimáticos y cuantificación de los factores bióticos y abióticos que determinan el crecimiento y rendimiento de Cannabis sativa” (Universidad de Buenos Aires).
    • “Caracterización de germoplasma local de Cannabis y desarrollo de nuevas herramientas genéticas aplicadas al estudio de su diversidad, identificación y selección” (Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata).
    • “Estrategias para el diseño de un acompañamiento integral a usuarias y usuarios de Cannabis medicinal: identificación y caracterización de consultas clínicas, usuarios y calidad analítica de las preparaciones cannábicas del registro REPROCANN” (Universidad Metropolitana para la Educación y el Trabajo).
