    La comunidad cannábica Argentina despide al militante y cultivador Nicolás Geniso

    Nicolás Geniso, militante por la liberación de la planta de cannabis falleció este miércoles 31 de enero, en el barrio de Lugano, Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Nicolás, como muchos cultivadores, concebía que la planta milenaria era un derecho a conseguir y que para ello era preciso luchar.

    Conocido por su solidaridad y su incansable defensa por las personas presas por plantar, el socio y cofundador de Lugannabis Grow Shop, siempre motivó a sus clientes y conocidos a cultivar cannabis.

    Entendió que cultivar cannabis era una lucha en sí misma y con esa misma idea en la cabeza creó y cofundó Templo Distribuidora, empresa dedicada a la Asesoría profesional a clientes, y Demonio Verde, compañía dedicada a la fabricación de insumos y accesorios para cannabis.

    Con ese impulso que le ponía a todas las iniciativas que emprendió, y en un contexto en el cual avanzaba la industria del cannabis en Argentina, en 2021 “Nico” como solían llamarlo, junto a sus compañeros fundaron Criacann, la primera cooperativa de criadores de cannabis del país.

    De esta manera, hicieron hincapié y destacaron la importancia de la semilla de cannabis y el objetivo de defender las variedades nacionales. En su último diálogo con Cannabica Argentina, Nico insistió en respaldar la industria nacional y ofrecer precios accesibles para la comunidad.

    “Hay que entender cuánto vale y ofrecer lo mejor”, indicó Geniso y afirmó que es preciso establecer un precio razonable en comparación con otras genéticas del exterior. “Yo quiero una semilla económica, para la gente”, agregó.

    Las declaraciones se dieron tras haber lanzado al mercado la Choco OG, genética registrada en el Instituto Nacional de Semillas (INASE) por el colectivo de criadores 1439 el cual integraba.

    Uno de los amigos de Nico, Matías Faray, conocido militante cannábico, habló con Cannabica Argentina y expresó su profunda tristeza por la pérdida de lo que él considera “una de las mejores plantas madre, que dejó muchos esquejes”.

    “Tanto podría decir, para mí era un hermano que me dio la planta, alguien con quien siempre poder contar, filosofar y activar”, señaló Faray y agregó: “Un referente, siempre activando para construir el mundo que pensábamos”.

    El Director Nacional de Articulación Federal del INASE, Gabriel Giménez, aseguró a este medio que el fallecimiento del cultivador lo tomó por sorpresa y que fue muy doloroso ya que se trata de “un protagonista de la historia del cannabis en Argentina”.

    “Se va una persona joven, un cultivador, criador y mejorador de semillas, un militante del uso del cannabis en todas sus formas, un amante de los procesos, espacios y construcciones colectivas”, detalló Giménez.

    El funcionario señaló que actualmente tenía genéticas registradas en el organismo nacional y tenía planeado la construcción de un banco de semillas de cannabis de Argentina.

    “Siempre puso el desarrollo humano en el centro de sus proyectos”, afirmó Gabriel y concluyó: “Su amor por la planta, su militancia por el cannabis, pero sobre todo su compromiso con la justicia social, con la equidad, claramente es bandera para el movimiento cannábico, Nico nunca entregó sus convicciones y siempre que contaba el proceso de la Argentina decía: hasta que no haya ni un preso por cultivar no habremos terminado con la militancia por los derechos”.

    La presidenta de Mamá Cultiva, Valeria Salech, también despidió a Nico con un posteo desde la cuenta de la ONG en redes sociales. “Con mucha tristeza, despedimos a Nico Geniso, referente de la comunidad.  Gran compañero, generoso, que sabía escuchar y enseñar, que creyó en este país y en la industria cannábica, acérrimo defensor de nuestra planta y su gente. Abrazamos a sus seres queridos en este difícil momento”, expresaron.
