    La Asociación Civil MACCU expondrá en el Foro Mundial de Derechos Humanos 2023

    La organización formará parte del evento internacional que se llevará a cabo entre los días 20 y 24 de marzo en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. La temática será sobre la democratización de las políticas de drogas.

    La Asociación Civil Movimiento Argentino de Cannabicultores Unidos (M.A.CC.U.) de Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz, anunció que participará en el Foro Mundial de Derechos Humanos 2023 que se realizará entre los días 20 y 24 de marzo en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. La organización expondrá sobre la temática “Democratización de las políticas de drogas: un debate pendiente».

    MACCU tiene ya dos años con personería jurídica y fue destacada por “liderazgo y compromiso en la promoción del potencial que tiene el cannabis y el cáñamo en Argentina y en toda América Latina” en el ámbito productivo, medicinal y en materia de derechos.

    “Es algo histórico para nosotros y súper representativo, no nos hubiéramos imaginado hace 2 años, cuando empezamos a conformar la asociación llegar a donde llegamos y enriquecer a esta parte del país con capacitaciones, proyectos y muchísima información”, señaló Martin Acuña, integrante de MACCU.

    Acuña afirmó que desde la asociación buscan desestigmatizar la planta y llevar adelante una “reparación histórica para los usuarios de sustancias” como también cambiar la mirada punitivista.

    “Entendemos que la democratización de las drogas y el debate que tenemos pendiente es momento de ponerlo en agenda”, aseguró Martín e indicó que se debe “llegar a discutir políticas públicas, de sustancias y la reducción de riesgos, acompañando y no castigando”.

    Desde MACCU señalaron que la participación en el foro internacional que se realizará en Espacio Memoria y Derechos Humanos ex ESMA servirá para abordar la problemática de las políticas de drogas de manera democrática y participativa, “con el fin de garantizar los derechos humanos y la justicia social para todas y todos”.
