    Vizzotti inauguró un laboratorio de control de calidad de cannabis medicinal en San Juan

    La titular de la cartera sanitaria realizó la apertura del establecimiento ubicado en el departamento de Pocito. El laboratorio surge de un acuerdo entre la empresa estatal CANME y el INTA.

    La ministra de Salud de la Nación, Carla Vizzotti, junto al gobernador de San Juan, Sergio Uñac y la ministra de salud provincial, Alejandra Venerando, llevaron adelante la inauguración del Laboratorio de Control de Calidad CANME-INTA.

    La iniciativa prevé la utilización de tecnología de última generación para que los y las profesionales médicos puedan determinar la concentración y tipos de cannabinoides de los preparados de la planta y, a su vez, aplicar la dosificación correcta para cada patología.

    “Que hoy podamos tener un laboratorio que va a hacer más controles de calidad, que va a asegurar además el acceso, y que tenga la proyección de producir, es una gran noticia”, señaló Vizzotti y reconoció el trabajo estratégico de San Juan y otras provincias con la industria del cannabis.

    La titular de la cartera nacional de Salud detalló que cuando iniciaron la gestión la ley era restrictiva y persecutoria, pero con la participación de la sociedad civil se pudo avanzar. “Esto es poder dar un pasito más”, afirmó.

    Por su parte, el gobernador Uñac agradeció a Vizzotti, al director del INTA, Mariano Garmendia y “a todos los que nos han permitido que este laboratorio tenga el principio de acción”. El mandatario aseguró que el establecimiento permitirá que quienes hayan comprado o producido preparados medicinales puedan analizarlos.

    «El Cannabis Medicinal Origen San Juan significa un hito para la provincia, una política de Estado en pos de generar un polo científico y productivo, que garantizará la proyección sanjuanina como referente nacional e internacional del cannabis medicinal», aseguró el mandatario provincial.

    Laboratorio de control de calidad

    El proyecto de crear un laboratorio de control de calidad de cannabis surge de un acuerdo de investigación entre la sociedad del Estado Cannabis Medicinal Origen San Juan (CANME) y el Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (INTA).

    El laboratorio cuenta con una inversión superior a los 550 mil dólares y prevé garantizar la trazabilidad de los procesos y calidad de los productos finales a base de cannabis para uso medicinal.

    El establecimiento tecnológico ubicado en el departamento de Pocito cuenta con cromatógrafos líquidos que permiten determinar la potencia de cannabinoides y de cromatógrafos gaseosos, que permiten identificar y cuantificar los terpenos en muestras.

    Previo a utilizar los cromatógrafos se usa un extractor EDGE para posteriormente limpiar las muestras y para dejar los terpenos y cannabinoides listos para ser medidos.

    En el laboratorio también se utilizará el Gemmacert que arroja una estimación del contenido en % de THC, CBD y CBG que tiene la flor). Por otro lado, el equipo Rancimat mide la estabilidad de los aceites y estima la fecha de vencimiento.

    REPROCANN

    Quienes estén inscriptos en el Registro del Programa de Cannabis (REPROCANN) podrán acceder al servicio de determinación de cannabinoides que ofrece el laboratorio de CANME – INTA. 

    También lo podrán hacer entidades públicas y/o privadas que realicen sus prácticas en conjunto con el INTA, el Instituto Nacional de Semillas (INASE), el CONICET o el Ministerio de Salud de la Nación, según lo estipulado por la ley 27.350.

    Sobre el Registro de autocultivadores, pacientes, ONGs, comandado por el doctor Marcelo Morante, que estuvo presente en la inauguración, la ministra Vizzotti aseguró que ya son cerca de 130 mil las solicitudes aprobadas.
