    Cannabis al Código Alimentario Argentino: “Estamos dando un paso muy importante, es un hito”, aseguró la ministra de Salud de la Nación

    Las autoridades buscan incorporar las partes, derivados y subproductos de la planta a los alimentos para impulsar el desarrollo de las economías regionales productivas del sector.

    La ministra de Salud de la Nación, Carla Vizzotti, realizó este miércoles la apertura de la reunión N° 148 de la Comisión Nacional de Alimentos (CONAL) para debatir la aplicación de Cannabis en alimentos y su posible inclusión en el Código Alimentario Argentino (CAA).

    “La posibilidad de incorporar el uso de cannabidiol en alimentos al Código Alimentario Argentino es una oportunidad enorme desde lo que es producción, desarrollo e industria y un empujón a la economía”, señaló Vizzotti en la reunión. “Estamos dando un paso muy importante, es un hito”, agregó.

    La titular de la cartera sanitaria nacional explicó que regular la incorporación de las partes, derivados y subproductos de la planta a los alimentos permitirá desarrollar las economías regionales productivas y acompañar las regulaciones actuales en el país con respecto al cultivo de cannabis y cáñamo industrial.

    Vizzotti se refirió en el encuentro a la ley de 27.669, que establece el desarrollo de la industria del cannabis medicinal y el cáñamo industrial, y aseguró que la normativa que aún no fue reglamentada “trae una oportunidad mucho más grande en relación a lo que significa la producción”.

    La funcionaria nacional destacó que durante la gestión actual y con la ayuda de la sociedad civil, se creó el Registro del Programa de Cannabis (REPROCANN), se reguló el mercado de semillas para comercializarlas legalmente y se aprobaron más de 50 proyectos de investigación en diferentes provincias. “Se empezó a generar una política de Estado”, concluyó.

    A su turno, el secretario de Calidad en Salud, Alejandro Collia, afirmó que durante el año se llevaron a cabo diferentes acciones para enriquecer lo que hace al alimento en Argentina. 

    “Pocos países del mundo están regulando la incorporación del cannabis al alimento, y Salud viene liderando acciones que son reconocidas a nivel mundial y regional”, aseguró el funcionario en el encuentro.

    Juan José Bahillo, secretario de Agricultura, estuvo presente en la reunión y detalló que el desarrollo del cannabis en el país es una actividad que promoverá el arraigo en la agricultura familiar y las cooperativas dando oportunidades de trabajo.

    “La incorporación del cannabidiol como alimento abre un nuevo vector de desarrollo para que esta cadena pueda expresar su máximo potencial, junto al uso medicinal y terapéutico», señaló el Bahillo e indicó que desde la secretaria trabajan sobre la cadena junto a INASE, SENASA, Salud y los organismos que integran la CONAL.

    “Hemos entregado los primeros nueve certificados de titularidad de las variedades de Cannabis registradas en la Argentina”, recordó el secretario y agregó: ”Es un hito histórico en apoyo al desarrollo de esta nueva producción”.

    Diana Barreneche, abogada y presidenta de Proyecto Cáñamo, destacó como positiva la noticia y reconoció el trabajo y acompañamiento de las diferentes organizaciones que ven con buenos ojos la inclusión del cáñamo como alimento para el país.

    “Hemos acompañado al Instituto Nacional de Alimentos en su petición sobre la incorporación del CBD y de la inclusión del grano de cáñamo y sus derivados dentro del Código Alimentario”, explicó Barreneche.

    La abogada aseguró que es “una muy buena noticia” para quienes ven al cáñamo como una alternativa laboral y nutricional. “Es una oportunidad enorme para nuestro país y la región”, concluyó.

    Por su parte, Paula Lanzelotti, ingeniera en alimentos e integrante de la Cámara Argentina de Cannabis (ARGENCANN), señaló que la incorporación del cannabis en alimentos tendría un impacto “muy grande” en la industria y comercio nacional e internacional y en especial para los consumidores.

    La profesional aseguró que el anuncio es positivo pero reconoció que “no es algo que vamos a ver en el corto plazo”. “El trámite es lento y puede llevar incluso años”, afirmó Lanzelotti y agregó: “Habría que regular muy bien concentraciones máximas permitidas de todos los activos”.

    Anmat prohibió la venta de un chocolate con forma de “cogollos” de marihuana

    La Administración Nacional de Medicamentos, Alimentos y Tecnología Médica tomó la decisión de prohibir la elaboración y comercialización en el país y mediante plataformas en línea de un chocolate por no contar con los registros sanitarios correspondientes.

    Según indicaron desde el organismo, la marca conocida como “Chocogollos” no cumplía con la normativa alimentaria vigente en Argentina. El producto no informaba lote, vencimiento ni procedencia, datos que son obligatorios para la comercialización. 

    Además, desde ANMAT señalaron que el chocolate tenía una leyenda que indicaba “sin THC sin CBD” lo que puede “suscitar engaño o confusión en las y los consumidores”.
