Mediante las resoluciones del organismo números 2, 3, 27 y 28 se agregaron nuevas variedades de criadores nacionales en el Registro de Cultivares. En total ya son 8 genéticas inscriptas.
El Instituto Nacional de Semillas (INASE) aprobó la incorporación de 4 nuevas variedades de cannabis al Catálogo Nacional de Cultivares. Las mismas están destinadas a abastecer los proyectos de investigación aprobados por el Ministerio de Salud de la Nación.
Además, las genéticas nacionales pueden ser adquiridas de manera legal por usuarios y usuarias inscriptos en el Registro del Programa Cannabis (REPROCANN).
Hasta el momento, las variedades de cannabis nacional registradas son 8, se espera que en los proximos días se inscriba una novena y para fin de año se llegue a la docena. La presidenta del INASE, Silvana Babbitt, aseguró que desde el organismo trabajan para “relevar, identificar y registrar genética nacional de cannabis”.
La funcionaria señala que el INASE avanza en el desarrollo de un sector que consideran estratégico,“tanto desde el punto de vista económico como desde el acceso a la salud de las y los ciudadanos”.
Por su parte, el Director Nacional de Articulación Federal del organismo, Gabriel Giménez, se mostró contento por la incorporación de las nuevas semillas al Catálogo Nacional de Cultivares.
“Son genéticas que aportan distintas características, que fueron desarrolladas por experimentados criadores nacionales y que cumplieron con todos los requisitos”, afirmó Giménez.
El Director Nacional indicó que entre los objetivos del INASE está el proporcionar “materiales de propagación fiscalizados al circuito y la incorporación al Catálogo de estas nuevas variedades” para ampliar el acceso a los usuarios de REPROCANN y para quienes tengan iniciativas aprobadas por el Ministerio de Salud.
Nuevas variedades registradas
Las nuevas variedades de cannabis aprobadas por INASE son: ANANDA001, de Anandamida Organic S.A.S; CELOSA 10 de Diego Di Maggio; Polaris, de Lucía de Souza Madeira; y TROPICANA WFC, de Facundo J. Meligene.
Compra y venta legal de semillas de cannabis
Todas las variedades de cannabis nacionales registradas se podrán comercializar mediante la Resolución INASE Nº 260/2022 que “regula las condiciones de comercialización de los órganos de propagación de la especie Cannabis Sativa L”.
Dicha resolución permite también la venta de esquejes o plantines, siempre y cuando se trate de genéticas aprobadas y registradas en el organismo nacional.
Quienes estén interesados en vender semillas de cannabis tendrán que inscribirse en el Registro Nacional de Comercio y Fiscalización de Semillas, ya sea un institución pública o privada. El trámite es arancelado y se puede hacer online.
Además, quienes quieran comprarlas deberán estar inscriptos en el REPROCANN o tener un proyecto de investigación autorizado por el Ministerio de Salud.
¿Cómo registrar una variedad?
La resolución conjunta entre el INASE y el Ministerio de Salud N° 5/2021 permite que se registren variedades de germoplasma nacional y extranjero cannabis sativa L. “en el Registro Nacional de Cultivares (RNC) y/o en el Registro Nacional de la Propiedad de Cultivares (RNPC) del INASE”.
Tanto las variedades nacionales como las extranjeras están exceptuadas de declarar el origen genético. Sin embargo, sí deberán cumplir con los requisitos solicitados por el INASE. La inscripción se puede hacer mediante este link.
