    Expo Cannabis: Reconocimiento a cultivadores, venta de esquejes y semillas

    La tercera edición de la Expo Cannabis, que se va convirtiendo en un clásico, mostró otro aroma. Por primera vez se exhibieron plantas reales, hubo venta de semillas autorizadas y esquejes circulando.

    Una nutrida concurrencia en el primer día demostró que el cannabis continúa convocando y generando interés en la sociedad. Filas en los stands de venta para adquirir productos, consultas en los informativos y asistencias en las charlas y talleres marcaron el ritmo de la jornada.

    Marcada como una Expo bisagra, se vivió un hecho histórico: el Estado reconociendo a los cultivadorxs por un trabajo que durante años castigó y aún, en algunos casos, sigue castigando. Principal consigna de la Marcha Nacional de la Marihuana que se realizará el 17 de noviembre.

    En la entrega de las certificaciones participaron Juan José Bahillo, secretario de Agricultura y Ganadería de la Nación, Silvana Babbitt, la nueva presidenta del Instituto Nacional de Semillas (INASE), Gabriel Giménez, Director Federal del INASE y futuro representante de Agricultura y Ganadería en la Agencia ARICCAME, Carolina Galliard, diputada nacional y el gobernador de la provincia de Jujuy, Gerardo Morales.

    “Para los que somos del INASE entregar un certificado de variedad, es reconocer el gran trabajo de las mejoradoras para obtener una variedad apta. Esto significa caracterizar, estudiar e identificar. Mis felicitaciones sinceras a los mejoradores y al equipo del INASE que permitió esto”, expresó Babbitt.

    “Realmente es un momento muy emotivo, estamos dando un paso estratégico importante sobre el reconocimiento  al compromiso de la sociedad civil. Han puesto en la agenda del Estado una actividad como es el desarrollo del cannabis medicinal e industrial que tienen un potencial productivo y social importante”, sostuvo Juan José Bahillo, secretario de Agricultura y Ganadería de la Nación.

    Sumado a la genética CAT3 (Cepa Terapéutica Argentina) estudiada en la Universidad de La Plata y cultivada por el recordado Daniel Loza, más conocido como «Profesor Lozax», ya son 9 las variedades nacionales registradas. Algunas de estas genéticas fueron adquiridas por los usuarixs registrados en el ReProCann en la Expo, como así también plantines o esquejes.

    Un hecho que quizás pasó desapercibido, fue que esta edición logró que Cannava SE, sociedad del Estado de la provincia de Jujuy, pasara del pabellón medicinal a ocupar el escenario central.

    Gerardo Morales, referente de la UCR en Juntos por el Cambio, logró sumarse entre los funcionarios del gobierno nacional para “felicitar a los generadores de este hito tan importante que nos va a permitir dejar de importar semilla y tener nuestra propia producción. Es un avance biotecnológico: No nos para nadie”.
