    Cultivando historia: San Juan realizó la primera cosecha de Cannabis medicinal

    La provincia argentina del noroeste de la región de Cuyo fue noticia nacional esta semana. Realizó la primera cosecha de cannabis medicinal.

    Se trata de la cosecha de 97 plantas de las variedades de autoflorantes y fotoperiódicas. Según fuentes oficiales, servirán para ensayar la adaptabilidad de las condiciones de cultivo en territorio sanjuanino. La recolección comenzó este miércoles 22 de diciembre.

    El predio donde se hizo historia en la provincia, está ubicado en el Campo Grande del Acequión, Sarmiento.

    Se vio una significativa variedad dentro de los tipos de plantas. Entre ellas, se encuentra: Superwoman; Maraschino; AutoAlpha; Auto Magik; Ultra Violet.

    El lote se concretó gracias a la importación inicial de semillas que efectuó CanMe San Juan en Octubre del 2021. Por lo cual, se comprende que los resultados son favorables, pero esta cosecha servirá para evaluar cómo se desarrollan las plantas en suelo sanjuanino. Esto involucra también las condiciones climáticas y cómo les afecta a estas variedades de plantas. Tres de ellas son fotoperiódicas y dos, autoflorantes.

    ¿Qué expectativas hay sobre esta iniciativa?

    Según informaron las autoridades gubernamentales de la provincia de San Juan, la plantación tiene fines medicinales. Por lo cual, hay grandes expectativas sobre cómo podría beneficiar a la sociedad esta histórica acción.

    La noticia de la plantación llamó la atención de la población sanjuanina desde el inicio. Además, contó con el apoyo del gobierno provincial. Puntualmente, el gobernador de la provincia, Sergio Uñac, manifestó su interés en que la plantación tenga éxito.

    Mediante sus redes sociales, el gobernador sanjuanino se manifestó cuando la provincia recibió las semillas de la empresa CanMe: “En un día histórico, recibimos, a través de CanMe #SanJuan, 4500 semillas para dar inicio al cultivo de Cannabis Medicinal, uniendo ciencia, industria y tecnología para ponerla al servicio de la salud, diversificando la economía, generando empleo y construyendo futuro”.

    La empresa encargada de llevar este proyecto adelante, cuenta con un esquema cerrado tipo nave. Según se explicó, consta en una sala de propagación, sala indoor de floración, un greenhouse de vegetación y otro de floración.

    Se espera que para marzo del año entrante se realice la cosecha definitiva de variedades fotoperiódicas. De ellas, se estudiarán las variedades de semillas con mejor potencial terapéutico. No sólo planean producir aceite, sino que también gomitas, parches medicinales, etc.

    El interés del gobierno provincial

    La celebración de la cosecha contó con la ministra de Salud Pública provincial, Dra. Alejandra Venerando. Además, se presentó el ministro de Producción y Desarrollo Económico, Ing. Ariel Lucero. También estuvieron presentes el Dr. Mauricio Gallardo, director de Relaciones con los Hospitales.

    Por parte de la División Farmacia estuvieron presentes Mario Carmona y Juan Dolab. Además, Melina Sloboldjanac, asesora del Ministerio de Producción y Desarrollo Económico.

    Desde CanMe, participaron el Dr. Roberto Correa, presidente; Dra. Carolina Giménez, directora y el Dr. Marcelo Magariños.
