    Cannabidiol

    El CBD (Cannabidiol) es uno de los más de cien fitocannabinoides que se encuentra en la planta de Cannabis Sativa, ubicado en la flor y que su utilización en distintas formas medicamentosas a dado notables beneficios como paliativo a numerosas enfermedades, sobre todo crónicas. El CBD está estrechamente relacionado con otro fitocannabinoide medicinalmente activo importante: el tetrahidrocannabinol (THC). El hecho de que el CBD es terapéuticamente potente y no produce adicción, y fácil de tomar como un aceite de CBD, lo convierte en una opción de tratamiento.

    Aceite de CBD

    Existen varios procedimientos para extraer el aceite rico en CBD de la planta del cannabis. Los métodos que emplean solventes neurotóxicos como butano (BHO), propano, hexano u otros hidrocarburos pueden dejar residuos inseguros que interfieren con la función inmune, impidiendo la curación. Los siguientes procedimientos de extracción se consideran seguros:

    -Con dióxido de carbono (CO2) a temperatura muy baja y presión alta.
    -Extracción con etanol, a grado alimenticio.
    -Extracción con aceite de oliva, reduce el costo pero el producto es perecedero.

    ¿Para qué sirve el aceite de cannabis?

    Aún no conocemos todas las cualidades medicinales del CBD y queda mucho por investigar, si bien hasta el momento hay evidencia de propiedades: analgésicas; antiinflamatorias; ansiolíticas; antitumorales; anticonvulsionantes; antipsicóticas, y neuroprotectoras.

    Este conocimiento otorga un gran valor terapéutico para paliar patologías como:
    -Fibromialgia.
    -Enfermedades inflamatorias autoinmunes, como la artritis.
    -Cáncer: tumores cerebrales (gliomas), de piel (melanoma y carcinoma cutáneos), de mama, de páncreas, de hígado y de próstata, entre otros; en el tratamiento paliativo, mejora síntomas de la quimioterapia como dolores físicos, náuseas, vómitos e insomnio.
    -Ansiedad, estrés y depresión.
    -Trastornos neurológicos: enfermedad de Alzheimer (EA), demencia, enfermedad de Parkinson (EP) y otros trastornos del movimiento, esclerosis múltiple, epilepsia refractaria o accidente cerebrovascular (ACV).
    -Enfermedades neuropsiquiátricas: esquizofrenia, autismo, trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad (TDAH), trastorno por estrés postraumático (TEPT) y alcoholismo.
    -Síndrome metabólico: obesidad y diabetes.
    -Desórdenes cardiovasculares.
    -Enfermedades inflamatorias intestinales (EII): enfermedad de Crohn y colitis ulcerosa.
    -Enfermedades inflamatorias crónicas de la piel: dermatitis, psoriasis y acné.

    Cómo se hace el aceite CBD

    Se necesitará para realizar aceite de CDB, unos 30 grs aproximados de cogollos (2 frascos completos de café), secos y molidos. Lo primero a hacer es descarboxilar la materia vegetal, para esto hay que calentar los cogollos molidos a 110°C por una hora.

    Luego volcar los cogollos en un bol, con suficiente alcohol etílico de alta graduación y de grado alimenticio. Remover la mezcla durante 10 minutos para que el alcohol extraiga el CDB y los terepenos, desprendiendo los tricomas que contienen esta sustancia.

    Paso siguiente, hay que extraer el alcohol (ya rico en CDB). Se hará un doble filtrado con colador y papel de colador, para obtener un verde más oscuro, cuando los cogollos comiencen a escurrir un color más claro, dejar de presionar.

    Etapa de evaporación, se calienta el alcohol obtenido al estilo «baño maría», a baja temperatura. Es requisito hacerlo al aire libre ya que la evaporización producida puede ser altamente inflamable. Este cuidadoso paso debe hacerse hasta que se evapore el total del alcohol y obtengamos la resina buscada.

    Luego aspirar la resina con una jeringa para llevar al gotero, una vez en el gotero, completar el mismo con aceite de oliva.

    Existen otras formas para el consumo de CBD

    Estos son los principales productos derivados del cannabis, con cannabidiol, que se podrían encontrar en el mercado:

    Aceite: En forma líquida tradicional, en capsulas vía oral y en aerosol para suministras vía oral.
    Cremas: Pomadas, bálsamos, lociones o ungüentos.
    Alimentos: Manteca, gomitas, alfajores, té o jugos, entre otros.
