    Paraguay: primer país de LATAM en exportar alimentos a base de cáñamo

    Paraguay concretó la primera exportación en su historia de alimentos derivados del cáñamo industrial, cerca de 21 toneladas de nuez descortezada fueron enviadas a Holanda e Inglaterra.

    El envío del producto tuvo como protagonista a la empresa de bandera nacional Healthy Grains SA, la cual se posiciona a la cabeza en este nuevo rubro que pisa con fuerza en el país latinoamericano. La misma se encuentra trabajando en el sector desde el 2019 con la tutela del gobierno paraguayo. 

    “Hoy estamos dando el primer paso para la exportación de los derivados del cáñamo industrial, creando oportunidades a los productores y dando una fuente importante de mano de obra”, dijo el ministro de Agricultura y Ganadería, Moisés Bertoni. “Estamos viendo empresas con tecnologías de primer mundo trabajando en el país, dando mano de obra, invirtiendo en tecnologías”, agregó el funcionario. Además, aseguró que se tienen que aprovechar las oportunidades que les ofrece el mundo con respecto a este producto.

    Por su parte, el CEO de Healthy Grains, Mercelo Demp, se mostró contento con el trabajo realizado en conjunto con el Estado. “Estamos haciendo algo histórico. Paraguay está siendo destacado en un rubro donde ni Brasil, ni Argentina, ni México, ni Centroamérica han logrado lo que hacemos”, comentó el empresario. 

    A su vez, se entusiasmó con el avance que está dando su país en lo que respecta al cáñamo industrial. “Ya tenemos una venta que estaríamos realizando la próxima semana al mercado canadiense”. En este sentido Demp auguro un futuro donde Paraguay sea líder en el mercado internacional. “Somos más competitivos, tenemos más tecnología y más certificaciones”, sentenció.
