    El Conicet registró 6 nuevas variedades de cannabis

    El organismo científico realizó la presentación de las semillas en el Centro Cultural de la Ciencia en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (CABA). 

    El Conicet sumó 6 nuevas variedades de cannabis al Registro Nacional de Cultivares (RNC). Según detalla el Boletín Oficial, las genéticas ya fueron incorporadas al Instituto Nacional de Semillas (INASE).

    Las variedades registradas son: Malvina, Ballena Franca, Cenpat, Pachamama, Conicet y Mariquita, todas solicitadas por el Consejo Nacional De Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas.

    Según indica el documento que lleva la firma de la presidenta del Inase, Silvana Babbitt, las semillas no estarán disponibles para su comercialización de forma inmediata.

    Las 6 nuevas variedades estarán finalmente disponibles para su comercialización una vez terminado el proceso de inscripción en el Registro Nacional de la Propiedad de Cultivares (RNPC).

    ¿Cómo se podrán adquirir?

    Las nuevas variedades de cannabis que estarán a la venta para las personas que estén registradas en el REPROCANN. “Ahora tenemos las semillas feminizadas que van a estar disponibles para la venta en breve, mediante la empresa Whale Leaf Farm S.A.”, el investigador principal del CONICET, director del Programa Interdisciplinario de Cannabis del CCT Conicet Cenpat, y coordinador científico de la Empresa de Base Tecnológica Cannabis Conicet, Gregorio Bigatti, en diálogo con El Destape.

    El profesional aclaró que solo será de dos, «las otras cuatro variedades aún están libres para ser licenciadas por alguna empresa que les interese».

    Pachamama y Malvina

    Pachamama tiene una genética alta en cannabidiol (CBD) y Malvina en tetrahidrocannabinol (THC). A su vez, ambas variedades contienen diferentes concentraciones de terpenos, compuestos que actúan de manera sinérgica con el CBD y el THC, afirmaron desde el Conicet.

    Con las dos variedades, que tienen diferentes concentraciones de CBD y THC, se podrán hacer fitopreparados de aceite medicinal, y su uso en diferentes patologías estarán indicados por profesionales de la salud.

    Para el desarrollo de las diferentes variedades de semillas de cannabis medicinal, a través de su programa de cannabis el CCT-CONICET-CENPAT puso a disposición sus facilidades científicas, técnicas y recursos humanos así como sus espacios físicos de indoor e invernáculos.
