    CONICET: Presentaron la revista científica digital Cannabis y Salud

    En un acto que se realizó en el auditorio del CONICET La Plata, quedó oficialmente presentada la revista científica digital “Cannabis y Salud”, una publicación que cuenta con aval del CONICET La Plata y que nació en el seno del Centro de Investigaciones del Medioambiente (CIM, CONICET-UNLP-asociado a CICPBA).

    Se trata de la primera revista científica indexada dedicada a la temática en Argentina y Latinoamérica, que releva los principales y más recientes aportes al cannabis terapéutico/medicinal.

    El lanzamiento fue encabezado por el vicedirector del CONICET La Plata, Carlos Della Védova. También tomaron parte Marcelo Morante, docente de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (FCM, UNLP) y representante del Ministerio de Salud de la Provincia de Buenos Aires en la Agencia Regulatoria del Cannabis Medicinal y el Cáñamo Industrial (ARICAME); Carolina Casale, representante del Equipo de Cannabis de la Dirección de Prevención de Enfermedades No Transmisibles de la cartera de Salud bonaerense; y Daniela Sedán, investigadora del CONICET en el CIM y docente del área de Toxicología de la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas (FCEx, UNLP), integrante de la Red de Cannabis de Uso Medicinal e Industrial (RACME, CONICET), directora del proyecto de extensión universitaria «Cannabis y Salud Comunitaria» del Programa de Extensión «Ambiente y Salud Comunitaria» de la UNLP y directora de la revista.

    “En la actividad científico académica tenemos ciertos objetivos que están fundamentalmente basados en la publicación de trabajos, en la integración de nuevos conocimientos, algo que está muy cercano a la formación de recursos humanos, una cuestión siempre importante y trascendente.

    Después tenemos una parte de docencia, también muy vinculada a los recursos humanos, y otro escalón, que conocemos como extensión universitaria.

    Últimamente, a estas tres patas se le ha agregado una más que es la de la producción. Este proyecto, ahora coronado con la aparición de esta revista, es un nuevo escalón importante que contempla todos esos aspectos.

    Y hay una cuestión que no es menor: va a debatir cuestiones que hace unos pocos años eran totalmente prohibidas”, subrayó Della Védova durante la apertura del evento.

    En el mismo sentido, agregó que “este proyecto que hoy se corona con tanto éxito es un trabajo magnífico, y es también el comienzo de un trabajo magnífico, porque después hay que mantener la revista, darle esencia, y eso significa darle un crecimiento siempre sostenido, porque lo que se estabiliza finalmente no tiene viso de superación”.

    Por otra parte, añadió: “Una cuestión que también es central en este tipo de proyectos, en este en particular, es que el depositario final es la población, la gente que muchas veces no demanda, pero que tiene sus problemas y sus necesidades, y es la que nos nutre de recursos para nuestra actividad.

    Esta revista es un nuevo paso en la tendencia siempre firme y constante de dotar a nuestra población de los mejores adelantos de la ciencia, de la técnica, para que se pueda vivir un poco mejor y para que nuestro país siga ingresando en lugares estratégicos de alta envergadura”.

    En el primer número de la revista se encuentran reflejadas las experiencias laborales y personales de importantes integrantes de la escena social, profesional y científica vinculada al cannabis terapéutico/medicinal; la historia de la variedad Quinto Elemento, su desarrollo y vinculación con ONG locales; y las trayectorias de eminentes profesionales del campo académico y científico dedicadas al tema.

    Asimismo, se publican tres artículos científicos que abordan diversas aristas. “Estas publicaciones en español acercan a científicos y a la comunidad en general información de calidad derivada de los avances de los grupos de nuestro país y la región”, apuntaron sus realizadores/as.
