    La UNQ y CECCa lanzaron un laboratorio para la investigación de diversas sustancias

    El laboratorio será interdisciplinario. Además, se confirmó el lanzamiento de una revista científica semestral llamada “Eleusis”.

    El docente y Director del Laboratorio de Estudios Interdisciplinarios sobre Cannabis y Políticas de Drogas de la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ), Martín Stawski, realizó el anuncio del laboratorio que investigará el cannabis y otras sustancias. Según explicó el referente, la institución ya aprobó una iniciativa de investigación sobre la planta.

    “Estamos trabajando en un proyecto que analiza, desde una perspectiva de las ciencias sociales, el uso y utilización comercial del cannabis y el cáñamo”, señaló Stawski.

    El profesional indicó que el laboratorio interdisciplinario de políticas de “drogas” y de abordaje del estudio del Cannabis buscará indagar en todos los tipos de sustancias desde una mirada científica.

    En el libro «Política y Legislación internacional sobre la hoja de coca» la investigadora, Jessica Perez Mendoza, detalla que, según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), la «droga» es: «Cualquier sustancia que introducida en el organismo puede modificar una o más funciones de dicho organismo».

    A su vez, asegura que dicho concepto «no se refiere sólo a medicamentos destinados al tratamiento de una enfermedad sino también a otras sustancias farmacológicamente activa».

    La noticia se dio a conocer en un seminario sobre “drogas” durante la Expo Cannabis Argentina 2022, en el que participaron Stawski junto a les abogades Luis Osler y Victoria Baca Paunero, ambos integrantes del Centro de Estudios de la Cultura Cannábica (CECCa).

    Sobre el laboratorio, Osler explicó que la idea surgió junto con la creación de CECCa y durante la primera vinculación con la UNQ en las jornadas de cannabis que sucedieron en el 2013.

    “El objetivo de CECCa siempre fue trabajar con las plantas, más allá del cannabis que era una primera aproximación obligada”, señaló el abogado e indicó que desde el comienzo estuvo la idea de seguir avanzando en el estudio de las diferentes plantas.

    El integrante de la Comisión Académica de la UNQ detalló que en el proceso de vinculación con la Universidad se realizó el lanzamiento de la diplomatura de Posgrado en Cannabis, Regulación y Política de Drogas.

    “Siempre la orientación fue a política de drogas en general, nunca fue solo para cannabis”, aseguró Osler y agregó que la creación del laboratorio multidisciplinario plantea un abordaje de la temática desde un punto de vista médico.

    Luis señaló que el espacio tratará la medicina tradicional, las plantas ancestrales, los pueblos originarios y las sustancias en particular. Además, anunció el lanzamiento de la revista científica Eleusis.

    “Se van a publicar los distintos papers que surjan del laboratorio”, explicó el abogado sobre la revista y anunció que en junio de 2023 se realizará un congreso en donde habrá una parte de difusión y otra académica.

    La difusión contará con paneles y talleres, mientras que la parte académica tendrá piezas temáticas. “Buscaremos unir el mundo académico y el de la difusión en una jornada de 3 días”, concluyó Osler.

    Aniversario de las jornadas de cannabis

    El Director del Laboratorio, Martín Stawski, adelantó que el año entrante se cumplen 10 años de las primeras dos jornadas sobre Cannabis en la UNQ. Uno de sus organizadores fue Jorge Flores, profesor y licenciado en Ciencias de la Educación, quién propuso el abordaje científico de la planta.

    “Vamos a organizar las terceras jornadas”, anunció Stawski y aseguró que dichos conversatorios tendrán más divulgación que en las primeras ediciones. “Se van a presentar avances de investigación académica”, afirmó.

    La Revista de Estudios sobre Cannabis y Drogas “Eleusis” buscará ser un espacio de reflexión e investigación sobre la planta de cannabis sativa en particular y las políticas y usos de las “drogas” en general.

    Según indicó Stawski, la revista será semestral y prevé un intercambio entre investigadores nacionales e internacionales para lograr una difusión multidisciplinaria de las temáticas abordadas.
