    Corrientes: comienzan las pruebas para la producción de cannabis medicinal

    El gobernador de Corrientes, Gustavo Valdés, firmó esta semana el decreto Nº 635 que aprueba el Estatuto de la Sociedad del Estado, organismo institucional con la totalidad de acciones estatales, y habilita la Producción, Fomento e Investigación del Cannabis Medicinal en Corrientes. De esta manera dará inicio la primera prueba piloto del cultivo en todas sus etapas hasta la extracción final del aceite. 

    En sintonía con el documento aprobado, se está trabajando desde el gobierno provincial para la inscripción de pacientes que usaran el cannabis como medicina alternativa con la habilitación del ANMAT y la leyes que lo regulan actualmente. 

    El proyecto ya empieza a dar los primeros pasos, luego de la firma del convenio con  la provincia de Jujuy el año pasado. El gobernador correntino fue invitado por su par jujeño, Gerardo Morales, para la inauguración del Laboratorio de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación de la empresa estatal Cannava. El encuentro fue en diciembre pasado y Valdés estuvo presente con su ministro de producción, Claudio Anselmo. 

    En esa misma ocasión, se firmó, junto a los gobiernos provinciales de La Rioja, San Juan y Mendoza, junto a la Universidad Nacional de Entre Ríos (UNER), un convenio con las compañías israelíes Yissum HUJI y HadasitBio-Holdings para el dictado de un curso de investigación y formación sobre cannabis, desarrollado en la Universidad Hebrea de Jerusalem. A través del acuerdo, los profesionales de las distintas provincias se capacitarán sobre la historia del uso medicinal de la planta, sus compuestos, beneficios y aplicaciones terapéuticas, como también sobre los últimos avances científico-tecnológicos con respecto al cannabis. 

    Todas estas actividades son la continuidad del convenio firmado entre Corrientes y Jujuy en febrero de 2020 para la cooperación mutua entre las provincias para el desarrollo científico y tecnológico del cannabis medicinal.
