    El Ministerio de Salud de La Nación aprobó, mediante la resolución 571/2021, el proyecto de investigación del cannabis con fines terapéuticos y científicos. De esta manera, se autoriza el cultivo en el predio de la sociedad que está ubicado en Campo Grande del Acequión, en el departamento Sarmiento de la provincia de San Juan.

    La encargada de la producción del aceite de cannabis será la empresa estatal Cannabis Medicinal Origen San Juan (CanMe). Según explicó su presidente, Roberto Correa, se está llevando a cabo el cierre perimetral del predio a través de la Secretaría de Seguridad. “Estamos adquiriendo cámaras de vigilancia y torres de iluminación para todo el predio, de manera que en los 120 días de conclusión del cierre perimetral nosotros estemos en condiciones de comenzar el plan de cultivo”, dijo Correa en declaraciones radiales.

    Desde la empresa estiman que para septiembre dará inicio la producción del aceite en San Juan. “En el mundo hay mucho interés en desarrollar esta industria de cannabis medicinal en San Juan sabiendo que contamos con condiciones de clima y de suelo ideales para este producto”, indicó Correa y agregó que esta industria generará empleo e ingresos importantes para la provincia.
