    ExpoCannabis Uruguay: 10 años de innovación en la Industria del Cannabis

    La feria cumple una década al calor de la primera ley en el mundo que reconoció al cannabis, su cultivo, su comercialización e industria.

    Este 8, 9 y 10 de diciembre llega la décima edición de ExpoCannabis Uruguay, con un histórico éxito y crecimiento continuo, la feria se ha convertido en el epicentro de la innovación y el debate en torno al cannabis en América Latina, llegando a recibir en nueve años más de 150 mil asistentes provenientes de todo el mundo.

    La ExpoCannabis de tres días se realizará en un espacio de 2.000 metros cuadrados ubicado en el Parque Roosevelt perteneciente al departamento de Canelones.

    Según adelantaron, la décima edición de la feria internacional tendrá música en vivo con más de 100 bandas y artistas de renombre que ya han brindado actuaciones en vivo a lo largo de estos años “creando una atmósfera festiva y vibrante que ha complementado perfectamente la seriedad de los temas tratados en las conferencias y talleres”.

    En este contexto y por primera vez en 10 años, se habilitará la venta de alimentos a base de cannabis a lo largo del fin de semana que dure la ExpoCannabis en Uruguay.

    Mercedes Ponce de León, CEO de la feria, expresó que en Uruguay se avanzó en la regulación del mercado del cannabis y del cáñamo e indicó que mudaron el evento a la intendencia de Canelones por ser quienes mayormente han impulsado el sector.

    “Han registrado en el departamento los alimentos derivados del cáñamo y del cannabis”, afirmó en diálogo con Cannabica Argentina y adelantó: “Por primera vez se va a vender alimento, harina, proteína, grano y aceite prensado en frío”.

    Entre otras de las novedades, Mercedes informó que durante el fin de semana que dure la ExpoCannabis Uruguay las empresas que quieran podrán vender semillas de “cannabis no psicoactivo” (CBD). 

    La feria fue escenario de 160 conferencias de alto nivel a lo largo de su historia donde expertos, funcionarios de Gobierno y líderes de la industria han abordado temas cruciales como políticas de drogas, usos medicinales, cáñamo industrial, oportunidades de negocios, técnicas de cultivo, tecnología e innovación.

    Sumado a los más de 100 talleres que han ofrecido oportunidades para aprender yexplorar una amplia gama de temas relacionados con el cannabis y más de 1.000 stands de empresas destacadas en el sector, que han tenido la oportunidad de presentar sus productos, servicios y avances tecnológicos.

    Declaración de interés

    ExpoCannabis Uruguay es declarada de interés por el Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería y Pesca (MGAP), el Ministerio de Turismo, el Ministerio de Industria, Energía y Minería y el Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social. También cuenta con el auspicio del Sindicato Médico del Uruguay y el Instituto de Investigaciones Biológicas Clemente Estable, en todas sus ediciones desde 2015. 

    El evento recibió la declaración de Interés Nacional en todas sus ediciones desde 2019, es apoyado por la Secretaría Nacional de Drogas y por el Instituto de Regulación y Control del Cannabis en todas sus ediciones desde 2014, y tendrá un foro propio en la décima edición y no fomenta el uso de cannabis.
