    Se entregó el primer lote de aceite de cannabis producido en Argentina

    Cannava, de Jujuy, la primera empresa estatal del país en poner en marcha la cultivación legal del cannabis para uso medicinal, comenzó a partir de la jornada de ayer, lunes 4 de octubre, junto con el anuncio del gobierno provincial, con la puesta a disposición de sus productos para el público.

    Fue en el Hospital Zavala, ubicado a 30 kilómetros de San Salvador, durante el mediodía del lunes el momento en el que Cannava realizó la entrega de cincuenta frascos de cannabis medicinal para niños y también adultos que padecen la epilepsia refractaria y otro tipo de afecciones neurológicas como la esclerosis múltiples.

    Estos usuarios previamente designados para recibir este primer lote son pertenecientes a un programa especial que desarrolló el Ministerio de Salud de la provincia gobernada por el radical Gerardo Morales en 2017, año en el cual el mencionado territorio sancionó su propia ley de cannabis medicinal.

    Cabe aclarar que estos usuarios con los padecimientos anteriormente señalados, como parte de un tratamiento, recibirán el aceite de cannabis de manera gratuita de por vida y además tendrá el correspondiente seguimiento por parte de los médicos del hospital proveedor del medicamento.

    Sobre la entrega de este primer lote y sobre la iniciativa, el gobernador de la provincia de Jujuy, Gerardo Morales, remarcó que este fue un proyecto del que se habló mucho. “Muchas veces fue mal intencionado y otras desde el desconocimiento porque estamos ante un nuevo desafío para el mundo y ahí está Jujuy”, sostuvo.

    Asimismo, el radical destacó también que este proyecto significa para la Argentina un importante avance a nivel global al ser Jujuy la primera provincia del país en dar el salto en esta materia. “Estamos marcando un camino en medio de la agenda global, ninguna provincia tiene el avance que tenemos en Jujuy y eso es gracias a un trabajo diario”, señaló.

    Respecto del tratamiento, dentro del mismo se tiene a disposición a cinco neurólogos pertenecientes a la autoridad sanitaria local, tres para adultos y dos para infantiles, y estarán atendiendo en sus consultorios de manera permanente. De hecho, este personal comenzó con una ronda de análisis y consulta de casos hace un tiempo y a partir de allí surgieron los primeros cincuenta casos.

    Sin embargo, cabe remarcar que este programa terapéutico especial solo se activará para los usuarios que padecen las afecciones neurológicas mencionadas, por lo que para otras patologías, como el cáncer, el VIH, en las que el cannabis ayuda considerablemente a sobrellevarlas, se deberá acudir a consultas particulares para realizar los correspondientes tratamientos.

    Para todos los demás pacientes de Jujuy que requieran el medicamento, este aceite producido por Cannava estará disponible desde noviembre en las 160 farmacias que tiene la provincia, según lo declarado por el presidente de la empresa, Gastón Morales, quien ayer destacó la calidad y el resultado del producto.

    “Se evaluaron los cultivos, se seleccionaron los mejores métodos agrícolas, se implementó la mejor tecnología, se investigó y se lograron todas las autorizaciones para llegar a esta producción”, partió explicando Gastón Morales, y añadió que las pruebas a las que fue sometida el producto fueron las mismas que se hicieron en los países más importantes del mundo.

    “El producto superó las mismas pruebas que los que se fabrican en Alemania, Suecia, Canadá e Israel, nos pusimos grandes estándares y lo logramos”, añadió el titular de la empresa.

    En esa misma instancia, y respecto del acceso al medicamento para quienes tengan una indicación médica de tratamiento con cannabis, Gastón Morales aseguró que cualquier persona que tenga una receta digital firmada por un médico de Jujuy estará habilitado a comprar el producto en la provincia y que el precio será “asequible”.
